Sort and filter your shopping list
Sort your Pattlist grocery list by name, date added, marker or the store you’re in, and filter it to the items you want to see right now.

Open the list view options
Tap the list view button above your items to open List view. The button appears once a list has at least one item.
Sort your list
Under Sort, choose one of four orders. In every one, items you’ve bought stay below the ones you still need.
- Name: A to Z, ignoring capitals. This is the default.
- Date added: oldest first, so you see what’s been waiting longest.
- Marker: grouped by marker: icons first (in the order the picker shows them), then stores, then unmarked items, each group A to Z. Great for shopping one store at a time.
- Near me: what you usually buy at the store you’re in comes first. See sorting by the store you’re in.
Filter by marker
Under Show items, choose which items to show:
- Leave it on All to see everything.
- Or pick one or more markers to see only those items. You can include unmarked items too.
- Tap Reset to show every item again, sorted by name, then Done.
The filter also applies to items other people add or re-mark while you’re looking. When no item has a marker you’re filtering by any more, Pattlist drops it from the filter rather than leaving you with an empty list.
Your view is remembered
Pattlist remembers the sort and filter for each list, even after a restart. It’s saved on your phone only, so everyone on a shared list can view it their own way.
